SCHEC is grateful to the family of Bruce Vancil to offer the SCHEC Bruce Vancil Scholarship Award. This special scholarship is made possible by the generous contribution by the Vancil - Tabayoyong Family in memory of Bruce's life-long dedication to student success and excellence. Bruce personally experienced the transformative power of higher education in his own life, and through his work at CSULB, he inspired countless students to realize their own potential through education. Bruce was a trailblazer, a true visionary, he was selfless, resilient, and passionate. We are proud that Bruce was a longtime member of SCHEC. We deeply miss Bruce, his collegiality and his inspiration, and we are grateful that his memory and example will live on through this special transfer scholarship award.
